CNNSI's Big Ten Preview

CNNSI has rolled out their own Big Ten Preview and, for the most part, it is pretty hum-drum. In fact, I think their calls are as safe as humanly possible. There is absolutely no prediction in there which contains any imagination or risk whatsoever. They predict the Big Ten to shake out as follows:

1. Tosu (We're #1 for no apparent reason)
2. Loserines (Didn't we lose a ton of games last year? So why are we gonna be good this year?
3. PSU (Why do people refuse to recognize the excellence!??!?)
4. Iowa (Nobody hates us 'cause we're Iowa (at least as long as we lose a couple of games)
5. Spartans (We're the spartans and we're gonna win 1 game we shouldn't and that's it!)
6. Wisc. (Barry? Barry where'd you go?)
7. Purdue (tough, but young and unsatisfying)
8. NW (Brett Basanez was the man and now our offense really does consist of only one man)
9. Illini (Zook will bring us back....we think.)
10. Minnesota (I still dream of Poz stuffing Maroney on the goal line)
11. Indiana (Predictably craptacular!)

(find all the genius here)

Oh weird, PSU as the third team in the Big Ten, losing to Tosu, Mich., and ND. So risky. So Bold. Picks so brazen inspire both fear and respect. If someone asked me to pick the Big Ten and, of course, nobody has, it would look like this:

1. PSU
2-11 Everyone-fucking-else.

(Joe likes my choice!)
I am, if nothing else a homer. But when it comes true I won't be a homer...I'll be right.

GO STATE! Prove 'em Wrong!
