Poz, The Penguins, and Predictions

First, I'd like to apologize for the recent slow down in posting. A new job for me means less time for the old blog.

Many people, including this blogger, have been wondering why Poz has seemed to struggle in the first two games of this year. Flounders has an article where he talks to Poz about what has changed between this year and the last. When pressed, Poz says it is his position change from outside to inside LB. I can see why the change is challenging to him. Paul has to play a different position with different responsibilities after being held out of contact drills almost all summer. That is enough to make anyone shaky. It is clear that Poz has struggled but he still had 12 tackles in the game against ND, not too shabby. If Poz says the knee is fine than the knee is fine, but it seems to me that teams are scheming to neutralize him. There seems to be a guy, or two, whose responsility it is to neutralize Paul. Last years line had some more weapons and teams couldn't afford to make sure Poz was taken care of. This year, Poz needs to shed more blockers and that will slow a guy down. All this being said, another game means another game's worth of experience at a new position for everybody's favorite linebacker. Also, another chance for Paul to get comfortable before traveling to Tosu. Poz is a perfectionist. If anyone is disappointed in his play the first two games, it is him.
The Penguins aren't a bad team but they will be outclassed by a pissed off Penn State squad. I think the guys will be hungry and looking to make a statement (if a statement can be made against a Div. AA squad).

The Prediction:
PSU: 52
YSU: 17

GO STATE! BEAT THE PENGUINS!
