WHEW!

Penn State managed to defeat the mighty Gophers on the road, 28-27 on saturday. Tony Hunt had another great game rushing for 144 yards and two touchdowns. A tip of the cap to those of you who voted for Tony to be the key to the game. Without T-Hunt would PSU have won a game this year? Probably not. (well...maybe 2 games)

(TOOOOONY HUUUUNT!)

The play of the game was the pass interference call on 4th down in overtime which gave PSU new life! Penn State was due a break, and it was pass interference so settle down Gopher fans.

The passing game continues to struggle for the Lions. Morelli has yet to really get it into gear with the offense. It puzzles me. Tony has had some great games rushing but it has not loosened up the air-attack at all. Last year PSU had a big play offense but that is not the case this year.
Penn State did, however, utilize a screen/quick toss to D-Will. Very satisfying! Lets keep that up fellas.
(The Brain Scrambler!)

The game was not terribly well coached. PSU had some more critical penalties and setbacks in the red-zone (again). The delay of game penalty nearly finished me off.

The defense was fair but they let the Gophers drive right down the field to tie the game! Not exactly confidence-inspiring.

In general, i'm quite grateful PSU escaped with the W but the Nittany Lions really need to play much more consistent football if they want to beat the Wolverines next week!

GO STATE! BEAT THE WOLVERINES!

P.S.
Does anyone know what BranDon Snow and Levi Brown were fighting about? Not cool!

Settle down Gopher fans? I have a lot of respect for Penn State. Always have, always will.

But honestly, do you think the pass interference call could at least be questionable? Particularly from a referee behind the play?

I ask because I sit on the 30 yard line on that side. If it was PI then a different referr should have made that call.

As to your two guys verbal altercation on the sideline. I apoligize for not knowing their names.

The big tall dude was talking some smack. Sort of seemed like he was talking against the offense. He was talking to offense guys the prior two times they came off the field.

The shorter dude took some offense to it.

I also apologize for the spelling mistakes. New keyboard, not my U of M education.

From where I was sitting, it was pass interference. The Minnesota player arrived before the ball. The only argument for not calling it is the situation, not the play itself.
