Season Outlook

Penn State sits at a stellar 6-4 with two, hopefully easy, games remaining. Clearly, PSU has not lived up to the lofty expectations placed upon them by Blue & White clad freaks like me. However, if PSU wins out it looks like it will be the Alamo Bowl for the Lions (possibly against the Cornhuskers). There are probably only a handful of teams I'd rather beat than Nebraska.

If it is the Alamo bowl that would still fire me up. Back to back trips to a bowl game is something to get excited about these days. It is a clear sign of a return to respectability for PSU.

The remaining two games are against terrible Temple, and a MSU team which is steadily disintegrating. Hopefully, the offense will be able to put up some points and give the defense some support.

Joe says that he'll be back for the Temple game. This is great news! The old guy not only has a broken leg, but also has had surgery and plans to be back in a week! Insanity! Joe is yet again a shining beacon of excellence for both the players and the rest of us.

Go State! Beat Temple!

I think if we win out, we would still go to the Outback Bowl. Assume OSU wins, then they play for the national championship, Michigan plays in the Rose Bowl, Wisconsin plays in the Capital One, moving us to the Outback Bowl with probably Purdue or something in the Alamo Bowl. We would probably play either Tennessee or LSU - both teams would be quite a handful.

too true. Penn State would have to play their best game to date to beat either team.
