Can't Be Good News

Austin Scott has been sent home from Tampa. The Collegian is reporting that Scott has been sent home for "unspecified reasons".

It certainly is not good news that the player who is expected to be your starting tailback next fall has been sent home mere days before a bowl game. Sadly, this is not terribly unexpected as Austin has found himself a perennial resident of Joepa's-Bottomless-Dog-House. Hopefully this most recent incident is not for any major violation and Austin can return to play well next year. However, I don't really think players get sent home from bowl week for minor infractions.

What's the big deal, you might ask? Well, even though Austin wasn't the starter last year he still came in pretty handy against F$U. He rushed for 110 yds and 2 TDs after Tony Hunt was injured in last years Orange Bowl.

The list of Nittany Lions who won't be in attendance for the Outback Bowl now stands at 2 (and counting).

Let no act of ours bring shame....
