We are starting to get some info on injuries suffered during spring practice. There was a rumor floating around that Chaz Powell injured his ankle in practice the other day, however, Paterno dispelled that rumor in a teleconference with the press yesterday, which you can read about at the Collegian. This is great news that CP is healthy because I think Powell will be a big part of the offense in 2009.
The same story also breaks the bad news that AJ Wallace has pulled a hamstring which is making it tough for the inexperienced secondary to gel. This is a quite a blow to a young secondary who needs all the time they can get to play together. The Hammy is also an injury that can really stay with a guy so I wouldn't expect to see AJ during the spring game.
The PTR also has a story about the Secondary's quest to become a cohesive unit.
I can't wait for the blue-white game!
GO STATE! PRACTICE HARD!
