Looking to ND

We could look back over the PSU vs. Akron game but that has been done so it is time to look ahead to the Irish. Clearly, the Irish struggled against an unranked GaTech team but showed resolve in coming back to win the game. If you look at the stats it appears that ND should have one by more than they did; Brady Quinn went 28-38 for 246 yds and no picks. Compare that to GaTech passing for only 140 yds. What finished off the Yellow Jackets was ND's ability to hold onto the ball (35 minutes to 24).

In sum, ND won the game but looked very beatable. In order for PSU to step up and take down the Irish they need to stop the run and keep the Irish from holding onto the ball. The Irish were able to have zero turnovers against GT. This is s a stat which PSU needs to change. Winning the turnover battle will be a big key to the game.

On Offense PSU needs to take advantage of their speed and big play capability (Williams, Butler, Norwood, and Wallace I'm looking in your direction). Even more than that PSU's offensive line needs to play a really good game and open up some running room for Tony Hunt. If PSU can't run the ball effectively against ND than it will be an up-hill battle to win the game.
I think I'll save the name-calling and mockery for another post.

Ok, maybe one. Poz and Connor are going to fold up Darius Walker like a fucking acordion!

GO STATE! BEAT THE IRISH!
