After winning five of its last six games, including a whoopin' of the Vols, PSU has climbed back into the top 25. Hopefully, this will begin the Lions trek towards a national title next year. Yes, I am talking about a National Title. Yes, I think it could really happen....and you can put that in your pipe and smoke it!

I am feeling the same way. I was even considering purchasing Rose Bowl tickets. I know we have a long way to go from this year, but there have been rumblings - albeit from pro-PSU bloggers - about a possible run for the 2008 title. The schedule is favorable with home games against OSU, ND and Wisconsin. As usual, that Michigan game will the be the one to watch to see how the season will end up. Seven times in a row, man! I can't take it anymore!

I agree, the Michigan game is making me feel a little lloyd carrish.

I think that PSU has a lot of "gelling" to do before anything crazy happens.

There are a bunch of teams out there with young (maturing) talent - it should be a good year - Florida is going to be formidable - but I think that the SEC is going to be mighty competitive.

I wish that "they" would stop maligning the Big Ten - sure the big ten lost some bowl games, big - but look at the final rankings - and PSU and Wisky - they beat some highly touted teams.

2008 is definitely a window for PSU to win a national title. That isn't saying that they will. However, the pieces will be in place and the schedule is as good as it will get (3 out of 4 big games at home).
