Penn State Reading

Jeff Rice at the CDT has a novel concept; if PSU plays better on offense and maintains good play on defense, the Lions could be good. If not, they will be ok. I don't know if Mr. Rice needed an entire story to convey this thought. Future hard-hitting articles for Jeff will include: Joe Paterno: an old coach, Jay Paterno is Joe's Son, Larry Johnson is Good at Recruiting, Penn State's Colors are Blue and White.

The PPG has an article about how The real Derrick Williams will show up this year. Lets all hope so. If anything close to the 2005 D-Will arrives I will be ecstatic.
Josh Gaines is enjoying but does not understand his newfound power:
"When I talk, people listen," said Gaines, a senior co-captain entering his third season as a starter."It's a great weapon," he said. "So, I'm going to try to use this weapon to actually do good with it. People listen to what I have to say for some reason."

Use this terrible power only for good, Josh. Only FOR GOOD!

The PTR has an article up on Tyrell Sales. This is required reading because Sales or #46 to you and I, is going to be the most experienced LB PSU has.

Easily the best article of the bunch is Brian's great breakdown of PSU over at MGOBLOG. He is great and has more time on his hands than a man should.

GO STATE! HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!

Or the more in depth story of Penn State's colors are blue and white, but used to be pink and black. Blow the lid off that sucker!

For some reason I was expecting a post about branch campus grinders in Berks County.

Hoagies and Grinders?

i will give brian this-he nailed every single hot button topic in the article that would anger a psu fan. altho, i did bitterly chuckle at the michael shaw reference.

still, he does give psu its props by putting them in the upper echelon of the big ten this year.

why does everyone think that devlin is morelli-slow?

His point on Devlin was just wrong. I'm certainly not at practice but everyone seems to think that Devlin is an athlete. The fact that he is in a QB race with a senior player who we all know is an athlete in a spread offense seems to confirm that fact.

Are you talking about Cianciolo, because Clark will still have a year of eligibility left after this season, correct?

clark and ciancolo are both listed as seniors on the 08 roster:

Hmm, is Clark considered a redshirt?

The Roster lists him as a Senior. His bio lists him as a senior also, however, it notes that he "saw no action" in 2005. The mystery continues.

There's no mystery...Clark has 2 years left.
